In 2017, three local churches were ready to move forward with big plans. Their leadership asked PennTerra Engineering to join the team that would help raise a new building to serve the combined congregations and greater community.
On a rainy April day in 2023, spirits were high as ceremonial shovels waited to break ground on this long-awaited project. Representatives from Fillmore, Valley View, and Buffalo Run United Methodist Churches each took a turn moving a shovelful of dirt. Then, all attendees - representing the new Greater Buffalo Run Valley United Methodist Church - were invited to also take part in the groundbreaking tradition.
On this nearly 13-acre site, there will be a 5,000 square foot church building with a covered entryway. A circular driveway with over 40 parking stalls will provide easy accessibility for the church members and visitors.
PennTerra's team is proud to work on another community church project and knows many seeds will be planted with the work of this new church and its combined congregation.
