After eight years, the prominent corner of East College Avenue and Pike Street will once again be a bustling hub of retail activity. Jake's Fireworks opened its doors to the pyrotechnic-loving public in June 2023, just in time for people to stock up on supplies for Independence Day!
This 5,000 square foot wholesale fireworks store is located on a 1.35-acre lot in College Township. The building is 30 feet tall and is serviced by 19 parking stalls, as well as overflow areas for peak shopping times. Newly installed sidewalks with detectable warning surfaces add pedestrian-friendly connections at the adjacent roadways.
Retaining walls, ample landscaping, thoughtful lighting, and stormwater management round out the list of services that PennTerra's team provided on this project site.
PennTerra will be celebrating the store's opening in style, perhaps with a new "Baby Dino" firework or some old standbys like black snakes and sparklers.
