The Maxxen (HERE)
Borough of State College, PA
Originally called "The HERE," The Maxxen is located just one block from Penn State's University Park campus in downtown State College, Pennsylvania. Opened in 2020, this 12-story mixed-use building includes 228 student apartments (755 beds), green roof areas, two floors of subsurface parking, and two floors of commercial space. At the time of construction, it was the largest mixed-use building in State College.
It is the future home of Penn State Student Hillel and has the capacity to house other retail/restaurant tenants. El Jefe Taqueria opened in 2021.
