PennTerra Engineering was hired by JAX LLC, a franchisee for Golden Corral restaurants, to obtain the land development approval for a new 446 seat, 11,000 SF restaurant in Lancaster, PA. The plan calls for the redevelopment of the 2.3 acre commercial site that currently contains the Garden Spot Motel. The site contains 147 parking spaces which includes 24 spaces that were developed with “Checkerblock” pavers to provide overflow spaces during peak times. The stormwater management design included several underground infiltration and storage beds with Storm Tanks to meet the current Township stormwater ordinance and NPDES regulations. Site Plan approvals from the Township were obtained in July 2013 and PennDOT approvals for the new signalized entrance onto Route 30 will be obtained in September 2013. Construction is set to begin in October 2013 with a grand opening to be in the Spring of 2014.
